Description: Wetlands are critical natural infrastructure for mitigating and minimizing flood damage. Wetlands store precipitation and surface water and then slowly release the water into associated surface water resources, ground water, and the atmosphere. This model assigns High priority to areas within 90 m of all existing wetlands. High priority is also assigned to areas within Lake Michigan's Watershed.
